Organization: Handlelife Cares Corp / Handlelife Academy — Handlelife HQ, Chatsworth, CA

Welcome to Handlelife Academy. By accessing handlelifeacademy.com or enrolling in any of our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our site and services.

1. About Us

Handlelife Academy, a program of Handlelife Cares Corp, is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Chatsworth, California. We offer youth basketball training, mentoring programs, and academic support, along with opportunities to cultivate leadership abilities. This is achieved through a variety of programs, such as Youth Development, Elite Teams, The Breakfast Club, Handlelife Home School Academy, camps, and facility rentals.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

Use of our website is open to the general public. Enrollment in programs is subject to the following conditions:

3. Program Enrollment & Memberships

When you sign up for any Handlelife program or membership, you're essentially agreeing to these terms:

4. Payments, Refunds & Cancellations

Payments, refunds, and cancellations are handled simply. Unless you've set up a payment plan, all fees are due when you sign up. We use secure, third-party processors to handle payments. Providing your payment information authorizes us to process the required charges.

Refund eligibility varies by program. Requests made more than 7 days before a program start date may be eligible for a full or partial refund. Requests for refunds submitted within a week of the program's commencement, or once a program is underway, typically won't be honored. The only exceptions are documented medical emergencies. Contributions to the Handlelife Legacy Foundation are non-refundable and, where allowed, eligible for tax deductions.

Handlelife Academy may need to cancel or reschedule programs. This could happen if there aren't enough people signed up, if there's a problem with the venue, or if something else we can't foresee comes up. If that happens, anyone already enrolled will get their money back or a credit toward a future program.

5. Code of Conduct

At Handlelife Academy, we hold all athletes, parents, guardians, and visitors to a standard. We expect everyone to demonstrate our core values: respect, discipline, and leadership. The following behaviors are absolutely forbidden:

Breaking these rules could result in immediate removal from our programs, and no refunds will be given. Handlelife Academy also retains the right to deny or revoke access to anyone who doesn't follow these guidelines.

6. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

Participating in basketball training and athletic programs involves inherent physical risks, and injuries are a possible outcome. By registering for any Handlelife program, you, or the parent or guardian signing on behalf of a minor, willingly accept these risks. You also agree that Handlelife Cares Corp, along with its staff, coaches, volunteers, and affiliates, are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may result from your participation in the program, unless it involves gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing.

A separate liability waiver may be required at the time of enrollment for specific programs, camps, or travel events.

7. Media & Intellectual Property

Handlelife Academy occasionally photographs or records its training sessions, events, and programs. These recordings are used for promotional, educational, or documentary purposes. Adults participating in these activities are considered to have given their consent. For minors, however, separate written consent is mandatory.

All content featured on handlelifeacademy.com, encompassing text, images, logos, videos, and program materials, is owned by Handlelife Cares Corp. 8. Third-Party Links & Services

Our website contains links to a variety of external sites and services. This includes payment processors and scheduling tools, to name a few. We can't dictate what these outside services do, including what they show you, how they handle your data, or what rules they set. We recommend you read their policies carefully before giving them any of your personal information.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms of Use are subject to California law. Should any disagreements arise from your use of our website or involvement in our programs, we will first attempt to resolve them through open and honest discussion. If that doesn't work, any unresolved disputes will be settled by binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, following the relevant arbitration rules.

10. Changes to These Terms

We retain the ability to revise these Terms of Use whenever we see fit. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our site or services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
